Antigua, the beautiful pearl of the Caribbean, is part of the Republic of Antigua and Barbuda and with its 365 beaches, one for each day of the year, it is the bigger of the two islands.

To say that the beaches and the sea have an unequalled beauty and purity, is almost superfluous and, really, incomparable.

And to say that Antiguans (believe me, isn’t a common saying) have a politeness and friendliness that is unrivalled almost anywhere else in the world ... it’s also almost superfluous !

It is one thing to be friendly for the sake of ‘business’ (no offence intended, naturally) but it is something else when being friendly, that is to say affectionate and always being on hand, ‘comes naturally’.
